North Carolina State Bird Coupons
The bird has bright red feathers of the state and, therefore, is sometimes called the red bird in winter. Unlike most birds, the cardinal remains in North Carolina throughout the year and is one of the most common birds, meadows, gardens and forests.
The Cardinal made its nest of grass stems and weeds and building under trees and bushes. They tend to eat mostly seeds, but you deal with berries and even insects.
The male cardinal is red, except for the area around its bill and throat are blacks. Its head is crested and the large bill is stout red. The Cardinal women is much more opaque with red over the crest, wings and tail. This difference in coloring is common among many birds. Since the female is sitting on the nest, her coloring must blend more with its natural surroundings to protect her eggs and young against predators that might want to disturb them.
The bird had a wonderful singing, and when you have had enough of winter, and suddenly hear the song of the Cardinal, just to brighten your day!
