Sugar Mountain Summer begins May 2 with the opening of its hiking and biking trips and ends on Sunday, October 9 Oktoberfest celebration after his 21 th edition.
With miles of hiking and biking trails weave throughout the mountain village of Sugar and Sugar Mountain Resort, you can choose between a soft stretcher leg an exciting challenge. And the Trail access is free every day throughout the summer season from sunrise to sunset. Trail maps are available online or in a mailbox located at the base of the slope of Sugar Mountain Flying Mile. Do not forget your helmet … are needed, while riding a bicycle in the Village boundaries.
If hiking is not your thing, check out Sugar Mountain chairlift, which takes the top 5300 feet of spectacular views of North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Grandfather Mountain, Roan Mountain and beyond. And, if mountain biking is your thing, the hooks behind the chair lifts carry bikes at the top of a mountain of sugar a wild ride down. Chairlift is Friday, July 1st is Monday, September 5th Saturdays and Sundays from 10 to 5: 30pm.
