Although he spent much of his life in Europe, he returned often to visit their relatives in Smithfield and is buried in Sunset Memorial Park along Route 70 in Smithfield.
Ava Gardner was married to Frank Sinatra from 1950 to 1957 and said “the love of his life.” For the first time since its creation in 2011 Ava Gardner Festival will pay tribute to Frank Sinatra and his life together. Festivities include new exhibition at the Museum of Ava Gardner, Frank & Ava: life, love and friendship to exhibit, tours of the heritage of his hometown, where Ava Howell first theater to cinema and falls, and projections of classic Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardner films like From Here to Eternity, Ocean Eleven, Pal Joey, and more.
