Merlefest - The mother of all NC Music Festivals. Held each year in late April/early May
Lake Eden Arts Festival - A great festival in a beautiful spot! Held twice a year -- in the spring and in the fall.
Mountain Dance & Folk Festival & Shindig On The Green - Ashevilles' celebration of the music of the Appalachians is held in the summer and a weekly bluegrass jam goes on most Saturday nights during the summer in front of the Buncombe County Courthouse.
Brevard Music Center - A great summer-time sampling of jazz, classical, opera and more with renowned musicians.
Swannannoa Gathering - Warren Wilson College hosts a series of events as a part of a workshop series aimed at musicians.
