This is a close relative of Monarda didyma and has some of the same properties and uses. It is a member of the mint family and the leaves can be used to make tea. It has been used medicinally to treat a number of ailments including colds, respiratory ailments, stomach aches and flatulence. The flowers can vary from white to pink or lavender.
